When working on my new idea of a program I noticed how powerful and useful dictionaries actually can be, especially with nesting lists and more dictionaries in each other. I also learned how to make print statements continue on with new print statements like they are one statement using (end=' ' ), which I found to be pretty useful in my for loops when calling multiple values in a key and also to make my program look better when run. Overall I think my code is ready to send in even though the whole thing is not complete there are plenty of abstractions and algorithms to choose from.

A lot of work has been done since my last update. I have actually scrapped my whole hangman game idea and have decided to create a stat-keeping app for sports (preferably basketball). A majority of the basic principle functions of the program are complete and would be good enough to write about and send in to college board. But I do actually want to keep coding it and will on my own time because there is much more I want to add to it. Right now, you can easily add teams with their wins/losses/total points using a dictionary and view the standings of the teams in the database. You can also remove teams as well. Next I am going to begin work on the writing responses as well as spending some extra time putting some more work into this program.
As of now the actual coding on python for my program has not begun. I have spent my time figuring out what king of program I am going to make. I finally decided on trying to code an operational hangman game. I started researching and mapping out a plan on where to start with this program because when I first began I got confused and realized I need direction and a plan. So I drew up a plan today on a blank sheet of paper, writing down what type of functions I will need, such as a title feature, list of words, etc. Even though there has been no programming yet, I believe I am actually still getting a lot done because this mapping out will make the programming easier as I will now have direction. I plan to begin coding tomorrow.

(1): This website could be potentially used for measuring the various demographics to compare states/regions and understand states/regions of the US. The website tracks useful info like the population of states to how much of each population is educated. It can essentially rank the states and help you discover where you would want to live. (2): The visualization of the website is extremely efficient and easy to use. Everything is color coded and easy to change stats. The color code goes up and down and tells you the rating of each state based on the information. You can also hover over a state to get the detailed states and know the actual statistics. One way it could be improved is the zooming with the mouse getting confused when you are just trying to scroll down to the options of the page. (3): The website collects data from nation and state reports, thematic briefs, interactive websites like DATA2GO.NYC, and the American Human Development Index. It all serves as an alternative to GDP. The data comes from many sources and is static as it would be updated only when new reports come out which are usually yearly and sometimes monthly. The source is definitely reputable as it is using real national and state reports as its data. (4): I consider this big data not only for the size its covering but also the the patterns and trends this tool showcases and discovers. The data is covering all of the US from its population down to poverty rate and brings it all together as one. It connects this data which revels patterns wwith population, education, health, and income. All of this relating to humans and how we live. This is the vendor's (Amazon/Ring) problems as they are not requiring the user to activate two factor authorization and putting their users data at risk. Yes, the users could have weak passwords, but most companies have warnings towards a user's password if it is weak. All in all, there need to be better security for the users by the vendors.
The article talks about a very pressing issue of whether self driving cars should save the driver or the pedestrians. The moral issues of this decision could result in a group of kids dying as the article states, but the reasoning behind knowing you can for sure save one person makes sense. You do not know if you can save all those children, but the car knows 100% it can save the driver. Despite the moral issues and controversy, I think Mercedes is making the truly right decision by choosing to always save driver. I would also like to point out that the car will probably cost in the $100,000's and if the owner is paying for something like that it should be saving him.
I was not able to finish my artifact at my house last night but it is halfway done, it will be done by today and I will be ready to submit either at the end of the day or tomorrow first thing.
2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, and 2e are all done. I plan on putting the final the touches of my artifact for homework tonight, so everything will be complete when I come into class tomorrow after lunch!
Last class I finished 2d, today I plan on finishing 2c, 2a, and 2b. I plan to start my artifact tomorrow.
Yesterday I started 2d and 2c questions while finishing my organization of information. Today I plan on atleast almost finishing those questions and planning my artifact.
